Sermon: The Gift of John the Baptist

Scripture         Luke 1:5-25     The birth of John the Baptist Foretold

Isaiah 60:1-3, 19-22    The promise of God to be the light.

Theme:  The gifts of God comes in different ways, and at various times, but they come to bring renewal, hope, and a promise of a future in which peace will abound.

Question:  If a prayer isn’t answered when you wanted it to be, is it still a prayer answered?  God has a tendency to surprise us, are we prepared to be grateful even when the answers to our prayer come unexpectedly?
