Growing Connections–Adult Education Offerings

Sundays 9:15am in the Parlor

What’s a body without wisdom and intelligence? Growing Connections is our ministry of learning opportunities for adults.  We seek to grow in relationship, wisdom, and understanding – all of the connections that enable us to know Christ more fully and discover our mission in the world.  Growing Connections opportunities will focus upon learning about our relationships and how we grow in faith as well as mission opportunities.

We are “Christians, Serving, Learning and Loving.”  This is an opportunity to grow humbly in faith as we learn more about ourselves, how Christ is reaching out to the world, and how we may use our gifts as the Body of Christ.

2 What is a Presbytery?  Have you heard the word “Presbytery” used and wondered what it means? This is your chance to ask questions and find out more about how we work together in the life of our presbytery.

9 Love Languages People tend to give love the way they naturally prefer to receive love. Knowing your love language, you can better express your needs to the people around you while also understanding how to make them feel loved in return. This not only helps in romantic relationships, but also improves the way we interact with anyone, whether in the office, with our family, or when meeting new friends. By understanding we give and receive love, we can show people we care and make them feel loved and appreciated.

16 Feed My Starving Children  Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children worldwide. FMSC meals are hand-packed by volunteers and sent to an incredible network of partner organizations who distribute them to those in need. More than 91 percent of total donations go directly to feed kids.  For the past seven years the Fond du Lac area has hosted a local mobilepack to support this awesome mission.  This year’s Fond du Lac MobilePack goal is to pack 171,072 meals with 855 volunteers.  Over a dozen churches will again join together to help raise the $41,057 needed to have this event in our community. Come and find out more about the Fond du Lac MobilePack and find out how you can join us in “being the Church” as we love others in Jesus’ name and partner with Feed My Starving Children to turn “Hunger into Hope”.

Talkback  Sunday Mornings at 9:15am (in the Resource Room)

Talkback is a discussion of the scripture passages and themes for that particular Sunday’s worship.  Discussion facilitators help to create an atmosphere where participants can explore their thoughts and feelings about the issues and topics presented by the scriptures of the day.  The class is open to anyone who wants to enjoy an open and caring environment for exploring their faith.
