Sermon:           “Heaping Burning Coals”

Theme:            We overcome the problems and challenges of the Coronavirus and troubles of today through practicing God’s instructions of compassion as we build endurance through faith.

Purpose:          We will learn to be strong as we do what is good and care for one another.

Scriptures:       Hebrews 10:23-35       Let us hold fast to our confession without wavering, because Jesus is faithful. Provoke one another to do good works.

Romans 12:9-21  Bless those who persecute you, do not repay evil for evil, heap burning coals upon the head of your enemy.

Questions: What does it mean to “heap burning coals” on the head of your enemy? What do we need to do in order that we can more than survive this time of the Coronavirus? What is it mean to more than endure, we can show God’s compassion? How do we demonstrate the knowledge of God and love of God without being rude or pushy? What is Jesus teaching us to do through this time when we are having to give up so much?
