Sermon:           “True Greatness”

Theme:            The real power of God is known in practicing the love of Christ with all people.

Purpose:          We will recognize the danger of being distracted by the ego as we faithfully show Christ’s love.

Scriptures:       Psalm 119:97-104       We meditate on the law of God day and night.

Matthew 18:1-5          True greatness, who ever humbles themselves becomes great in the kingdom of God.

Questions:

How do we see God’s love and grace in the law and judgements of God? What does it mean to meditate upon the law of God? What is the power of compassion and kindness? What does it mean to humble ourselves and to become like a child? What is Jesus’ expectation of us in our relationships? Does being child like differ from being childish? How do we become joyfully obedient to the instruction of God?
