Sermon: Shepherd Solutions to World Problems
Theme: We are called to God to faithfulness and trust in God rather than seeking control and power to retaliate for the world’s problems.
Purpose: We will learn submission to God rather than brooding on our fears and anger.
Scriptures: Micah 5:1-5 From Bethlehem shall come one who is to rule Israel, who will stand and feed his flocks in the strength of the Lord.
Luke 21:34-38 Be on guard that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and worries of this life.
How should we look at the problems in the world that cause us fear and anxiousness? How does trust in God change the way we look at the things that we find threatening? Why do some issues and problems particularly cause us to feel overwhelmed and afraid? How do we learn peace and confidence in the midst of the noise and turmoil of the world? How do we work to share a message that is attractive to a fearful and worried world?
