Learning

The Christian Education team oversees many Learning opportunities at First Presbyterian Church. The mission of the Christian Education team is to nurture faith development and growth through educational opportunities for all ages with a desire to aid in making of disciples.  Click below to learn about Sunday morning learning opportunities.

Nursery

The purpose of the nursery is to provide a safe, loving, fun and comfortable environment for both the parent and the child. To accomplish this, our workers will walk, rock, read, sing and play with the children to insure that they are content. As a general rule, children infant through 3 years old are welcome in the nursery. Due to limited space, safety concerns, and the desire to maintain a child/volunteer ratio of no more than 4:1, school-age children (kindergarten and older) are encouraged to be in worship. We provide loving care and teaching during both morning worship services as well as during the Sunday School hour.

Enrichment Class

Enrichment Class is designed for children ages 3-Kindergarten and begins after “Discovery Time” during the 10:30 worship service. The class begins with a story time followed by activities and playtime.

Communion Class

Each Spring and Fall there is a class to learn about the meaning of Communion designed for children (ages 4 and above) and their parents (one parent must attend). Parents make the decision on when children are ready to participate in Communion.

Third Grade Bibles

Do you want to be a part of our 3rd grade Bible class this year? If so talk to Jennifer Zander 922-0425 or jzander@tds.net.  The class will be learning bible skills and working on activities throughout the school year and bibles will be presented in the spring.

Church School Library
We have a wonderful collection of books for children, youth and parents available to be checked out. Anyone of any age may check out the books. New books have been added recently.
